Mubarak supporters clashed with besieged demonstrators for a second day, with the Egyptian army attempting to keep the peace between the two sides. The military, once praised for protecting anti-government protesters from attacks by pro-Mubarak demonstrators, is coming under increasing scrutiny for it's handling of the post-Mubarak transition. The army has cracked down upon demonstrations, has been slow to meet protester demands, and has begun trying civilians in military court.
