Since the Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali fled the country, rioting, looting and violence have engulfed some areas, especially at night. Members of Ben Ali's reviled wife's family, the Trabelsis, lived in Carthage, where one member of the family owned a car dealership. Cars throughout the area were burned and destroyed during rioting at night.
