A Bedouin smuggler fires his weapon in the middle of the village of Sheikh Zweid, during the revelry after Egypt made it to the finals of the Africa Cup, in the Sinai peninsula, not far from the border with Israel, Jan. 29, 2010. Showing their local power, a group of the Bedouin smugglers led the parade of vehicles up and down the main street. Some Bedouin make a living smuggling goods and humans from Egypt across the Gaza and Israel borders. A barrier wall being built buy Egypt may impact the illegal trade, causing strife between the government and Egypt's marginalized Bedouin tribes.
